How to Import Bubble Toys from Yiwu to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Eastern Europe

Baku, Tbilisi and the markets behind them are small by global standards and demanding by any standard. Buyers here compete against imports from Turkey, Russia and the Gulf, which means the range and the freight arithmetic matter more than the label on the box.

This is what we would tell a buyer in the region before they place a first order.

Certification is not one thing here

Do not assume. Azerbaijan and Georgia are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, so an EAC certificate taken out for Russia does not automatically cover a shipment to Baku or Tbilisi, and the two countries do not have identical requirements to each other either.

Ask your own customs broker or your importer what applies to your specific product and route. That is a two-email question with a definite answer, and it is much cheaper to ask it before you order than after the goods are on the water. What we can do from our side is supply the product data and the test reports that exist for the model, which any certification process will ask for.

Routes are the real cost

Land routes run through Georgia and Turkey, with rail and road combinations inland. Sea freight is longer but cheaper for volume. What decides which is right is the size of the shipment and how quickly you need it — not the price per unit.

Ask for carton dimensions, pieces per carton and gross weight with every quotation. On a route where the inland leg is expensive, the carton size frequently decides which product is the better buy, and comparing suppliers on unit price alone hides that.

What sells in this market

Wide ranges beat deep stock in most shops here. A counter that carries ten bubble designs sells more than one that carries a hundred units of a single product, because the purchase is an impulse and the choice is visual.

That suits our minimums exactly. At 5 pieces per design with designs mixing freely, a buyer can assemble a broad, shallow order — a few of each shape and format — and see what moves before committing to cartons.

Seasonality follows the weather rather than a retail calendar. Outdoor and water products move in the warm months, and the window is shorter than in southern Europe, which makes late arrival costly.

Consolidation

If you are buying from several suppliers in Yiwu, consolidate. One consignment, one set of documents and one freight bill is cheaper and simpler than three, and the filler logic works in your favour: compact items like wands and solution take up the space left by bulkier cartons.

Starting

Ask for samples before you order and test them with solution in the unit. Then place a first order broad rather than deep, and let your market tell you what to reorder. Tell us the destination and the quantity you have in mind and we will come back with packing, weights and lead times. See the range under bubble guns and bubble wands. WhatsApp: +86 173 4881 6397.
